Pascal's Triangle

Pascal's Triangle is an interesting pyramid of number that has been found to have many interesting uses in binomial expansion and probability.  Looking carefully as the pyramid is constructed, perhaps you see the pattern of its construction. Descending each layer, you see the outer "walls" of the pyramid are "1." Interior to the pyramid, you will notice that the interior numbers are the sum of the two numbers bracketing it in the line above it. For example, you will notice that the second row contains only the number {1, 1}, while the third row contains the numbers { 1, 2, 1 }, the fourth row contains the number { 1, (1+2), (2+1), 1 }.
